There are four projects of the Balearic Islands that have been selected to participate in the tourism innovation competition Miro in Cube, held simultaneously in Palma, Barcelona and Perpignan. All of them are part of the #emprenbit advisory program in the pre-incubation stage.
- Blaij.com: a platform that connects the «coliving» community with temporary accommodation offers for digital nomads.
- Eatinn: A solution to make the gastronomic offer of hotels profitable by making it available to clients who are not their guests hrough digital means.
- KulTours: A platform where information on cultural works is related to tourist routes. It allows people to enter the title of a book or a movie and receive suggestions of tourist routes that appear in that book or movie.
- Rem Experience: Virtual reality solution to approach the archaeological heritage of Minorca to leisure and cultural tourism.
Thus, the members of the different teams will participate in workshops, work sessions and mentoring with the members of Emprenbit and Miro in Cube team. They will help the participants to define their proposal and prepare their final speech to defend their business idea before the jury.
At the end of the day, the jury will choose the winner of the hackathon in the Balearic Islands: appart from being rewarded with different prizes they will participate also in the final of the Miro in Cube that will take place in Barcelona on Monday, June 28th, as part of 4YFN, in the Mobile World Congress.
Moreover, the Euroregion Pyrenees Mediterranean, historical partner of the contest, will award in this fourth edition the Euroregional Award for Tourism Innovation (https://www.euroregio.eu/), consisting of 5,000 euros to the winning project of the international final.
