The KulTours project has won the the international l Miro in Cube, hackathon, which is held simultaneously in Palma, Barcelona and Perpignan and which began last Friday, June 25th. It consists of a marketplace where information on cultural works is related to tourist routes and allows people to enter the title of a book or a movie and receive suggestions of tourist routes that appear in that book or movie.

This project, housed in the ParcBit business incubator, will receive, on the one hand, the prize awarded by the Bit Foundation for the winners of the Balearic Islands which consists of: free access for 6 months to the Emprenbit support program for entrepreneurs, strategic advice and mentoring by ParcBit companies (branding, networking, strategy …), a trip to the highlighted entrepreneurial event in Spain, South Summit and a computer equipment for each team member. In the same way, Kultours will also receive a 5,000 euros prize, as winners of the international final, thanks to the Mediterranean Pyrenees Euroregion,

Los fundadores del proyecto son Charles Santana, científico de datos y desarrollador de software; y Joan Lapaix, estudioso del «design thinking» y apasionado del emprendimiento, el marketing y la psicología. Ambos se han convertido así en los primeros ganadores del Miro in Cube con un proyecto de las Illes Balears con un gran potencial.

The founders of the project are Charles Santana, data scientist and software developer; and Joan Lapaix, a student of “design thinking” and passionate about entrepreneurship, marketing and psychology. Both of them have thus become the first winners of the Miro in Cube with a project from the Balearic Islands, which has considerable potential.

The general director of Innovation, Eduardo Zúñiga, has highlighted the Government’s commitment to promote innovative projects from the Balearic Islands that contribute to diversify the production model.
